Hello Fellow Citizens,
My name is Eric Neumann and I hope you will consider me as you decide who will be our next circuit judge. I graduated from Illinois State University in 1996 with my Bachelors in Criminal Justice. I worked my way through school in fast food, school cafeteria, and factory work. I then obtained my law degree from Southern Illinois University where I worked at the Elder Legal Clinic. The Elder Legal Clinic is a state sponsored program that provided free legal services to senior citizens.
After graduating from SIU in 1999 I worked at a factory until I got my first law job. In September of 1999 I started working at the Effingham County Public Defender's Office. I worked for the Public Defender until April of 2001 when I took a job with the Coles County State's Attorney's office where I have worked ever since. I later started Teaching Criminal Law and Juvenile Justice at Lakeland College
My beautiful wife and I have lived in Charleston for the last four years with our three cats, two of which were adopted from the Effingham County Humane society and one of those was brought up from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. I hope you will support my bid for fair, consistent, and just application of the law as your next circuit judge.
